Teaching Newsletter at the University of Jena: new release is online

The second edition of the Teaching newsletter 2026 was published on May 29.

Teaching is a central task of Friedrich Schiller University Jena. With the adoption of the 'Teaching Strategy', it is emphasized as an important component of the university's strategic development. In fact, there are many developments in teaching at Friedrich Schiller University that are worth reporting and discovering. In the current issue, you can expect the following articles, among others:

  • In the keynote interview (Teaching IN FOCUS), Dr. Katja Hüfner discusses the Universitas@Jena project, which will make a significant contribution to the future-oriented development of the teaching architecture at the University of Jena.
  • In the Biology/History of Science cluster, on-site discussions took place as part of the program review. You can find a recap under Teaching 'IM DIALOG'. In addition, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Teaching is once again inviting students to a Meet & Talk (Teaching 'IM DIALOG').
  • In the current funding period, the Academy for Teaching Development is supporting ten projects across four funding lines (Teaching 'AUSGEZEICHNET').
  • There are three new degree programs at the University of Jena (Teaching of 'ZUKUNFT').
  • The Digital University Jena Forum will launch on June 1, 2026. With its new lending shop, the University’s Multimedia Center offers easy access to technology for digitally enriched teaching (Teaching 'DIGITAL').
