Water Splitting Group at CataLight Symposium - SOLCHEM 2026
Alex, Kristína and Jacob participated in the SOLCHEM 2026 Symposium in Ulm (15–17 June 2026), where they presented ongoing project results and took part in scientific discussions across photocatalysis and solar chemistry research.

Members of the Water Splitting Group (Alexander Eith, Kristína Rabatinová and Jacob Schneidewind) participated in the CATALIGHT Symposium SOLCHEM 2026, which took place from 15 to 17 June 2026 in Ulm. The meeting brought together researchers working in solar-driven chemistry and photocatalysis, providing a platform to present new results and strengthen collaboration within the consortium.
The scientific program included talks by new principal investigators in the consortium on 15 June, along with an invited lecture by Maria Drousou. On 16 June, each CataLight project was briefly presented, giving an overview of ongoing work and recent progress across the consortium. Jacob Schneidewind contributed a short presentation on recent developments within the A07 project. On 17 June, talks by CataLight members and representatives from the SYNFLUX and LUMICALS communities continued the scientific exchange. Here Jacob Schneidewind presented the general profile and research directions of the Water Splitting Group.
The symposium provided an important opportunity for scientific discussion and networking within and beyond the CataLight consortium. It concluded on 17 June with a joint barbecue, which offered an informal setting for continued exchange and community building among participants.
