The Graduate Office provides advice on doctoral matters and matters regarding postdoctoral lecturing qualification ("habilitation"). In addition, the application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate, the supervision agreement and the documents required to open doctoral and habilitation procedures are submitted here.

Please note that examinations within the Master's programmes are administered by the Faculty's Office for Student Affairs and Examinations.

From 4 May 2020 (beginning of lecture period in the summer semester 2020), the Office for Student Affairs and Examinations and the Graduate Office are open again for personal appointments - but only by prior arrangement by phone or email and under the guidelines of hygiene and distance rules. In order to open your doctoral examination proceedings on time, you have to submit the complete documents to the Graduate Office until Tuesday in the week before the next meeting of the faculty council. Here are the next deadlines:
Theses and documents that are submitted after these deadlines cannot be considered until the next meeting of the faculty council.
