What started off as a typical crazy idea on a friday afternoon has now been published in Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers on Friday, 31.07.: In a part of the upcoming Dissertation of Sebastian Egner, he teaches Magnesium oxide and many more sources of Magnesium to shine brightly (see Figure). The resulting Mg(II) complexes qualify as miniaturized model systems of the pigment of life, Chlorophyll' _Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers, 2026, DOI: 10.1039/D6QI01253A _

08.12.2025:

We are delighted that the European Union has approved funding for a new single-crystal X-ray diffractometer, which will strengthen our infrastructure for excellent research in the long term and open up numerous new scientific opportunities for us.
