Postdoc Position in Photonics Education at ASP

At the Abbe School of Photonics, we are announcing a very special position for a dedicated photonics enthusiast at the postdoc or "almost-finished-PhD" level, to engage in our Photonics Master program.

This position is part of our new EU-funded project, called PHORTIFY. Here, together with great European partners from Belgium, The Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Poland and Spain as well as a network of industrial partners all over Europe, we wish to strengthen our Master education program. One special subtask is to advance our remotely controllable physics and photonics setups (XR Twin Lab, www.asp.uni-jena.de/xrtl)External link. These works will take place in the creative environment of our Lichtwerkstatt Photonics MakerspaceExternal link. A second, equally important goal is to strengthen and to streamline our local Photonics Master education and training together with a European industrial network. Most notably, the holder of the position will gain experience in education and scientific management and play a vital role in ensuring the success of the PHORTIFY project.
