The Structural Geology Group is seeking to fill a two-year postdoctoral position (full-time) starting January 1, 2026. The project "Constraining exhumation rates in contractional vs. extensional segments of the Dinarides-Hellenides transition using calcite/dolomite thermoluminescence thermochronology" will involve field work in Albania. Laboratory work will be carried out at LIAG in Hanover under the direction of Prof. Sumiko Tsukamoto. Experience in thermochronology or OSL/ESR dating is desirable. The project is part of the DFG-funded Priority Program “Plate Deformation and Geohazards: The Eastern Margin of the Adriatic Plate (DEFORM)” (SPP 2497).
