Benno Werlen appointed member of the Academia Europaea

Prof. Benno Werlen has been appointed a member of the Academia EuropaeaExternal link for the field of social sciences in June 2019. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in London, the academy supports the visibility and recognition of European research in the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and engineering, and promotes cross-disciplinary, international cooperation. With its approximately 3,800 members, the Academy provides independent advice on scientific issues, for example to the European Union. The Academia Europaea sees itself as a European center for scientists and promotes the voice of science in public discourse.
